A simplex filter is a single-housing filter
that allows fluid (water, pulp slurry, oil, chemicals) to pass through a filter
element (mesh, screen, or cartridge) to remove solid contaminants.
A duplex filter has two parallel filter chambers (or housings) and a valve system that allows fluid to flow through one
chamber at a time.
A triplex filter has three filter chambers arranged in parallel with a multi-port
valve system, allowing fluid to flow through any one or two chambers at
a time while the others are cleaned.
